Sammy

Once again with a heavy heart Guy and I had to say goodbye to two furkids. Mr Sammy Joseph and Ms Miffy Mae. It's never easy but this was particularly hard. Mr Sammy was only with us for two years and one month. Having nerve damage in his hind quarters he had a difficult time walking and getting up. He was a trooper, lovable big old bear of a Sheepie. He gave us joy and I hope we gave him a few years of love and happiness. Ms Miffy was particularly difficult for me. Tears are rolling down my face. She was rescued by TOESR from a certain death. I was fortunate enough to adopt this beautiful little girl who was afraid of everything and everyone. She was with me by my side for 9 years. Putting up with my travels to Florence, SC, Burlington, VT and Wilmington, NC. Never complaining but always dancing making friends where ever we went. She was my companion for years and when Guy came to live with us she took to him like water to a duck. He would give her tummy rubs and shoulder massages each and every day. But it was time for both of them. Neither could get up by themselves. Ms Miffy would drag herself across the floor just to be near us or wanting to be outside with us. It broke my heart because she went downhill so quickly. She gave me kisses just before going to sleep. Guy and I love you both, our hearts are torn. Join Ms Savana and Mr Patch on the other side of the bridge until we join you again.
