The TOESR family would like to extend our most sincere sympathies to Pam on the loss of Patches aka Pandy after her adoption. Patches was an OES/Bearded collie mix that we rescued from a kill shelter after she was turned in as a stray. On having her vetted, Patches was also found to have heartworms which we treated successfully. While Patches was super smart, she didn't get along well with other dogs so it was a bit of a challenge to find the perfect home. When Pamela met Patches, it was love at first sight however and led to an interesting life for the both of them.

Quoting Pamela: 'Pandy was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2011 and was successfully treated with surgery and chemo. In December, 2013, she began losing weight and another vet trip showed cancer in the bladder and liver. Last week she went into the beginning of a crisis and I couldn't let her suffer. I am writing to thank you for allowing her to be in my life. She was one of the best dogs I've had the privilege to know and care for. She was happy until the end'

We grieve with Pamela on her loss and I want to thank her personally for giving Pandy/Patches such a wonderful life.
