Sophie - Adopted!

Minnie was one of three dogs that came to us via a very concerned rescue worker. When we picked her up, Minnie was in pretty sad shape and desperately needed to learn some manners. Once Pete cleaned her up and we had her vetted, we could see that she was an absolute beauty though!

One of our volunteers, Susan Dean, offered to foster Minnie so off she went to become 'socialized' since Susan has two OES's of her own who were up to the task. Apparently having the two older girls around helped Minnie considerably. She became quite contented with being an indoor dog and attached herself to Ruthie as a friend.

We received quite a few calls about Minnie but one in particular stood out. Adam, Jill and their family are long time OES owners and have had considerable experience with rescue dogs. They made an extended drive up to meet Minnie and fell in love with her.

Minnie is now Sophie and is enjoying her new event-filled life and we hope to enjoy more news about her and some updated pictures to show her progress. Many thanks for giving this sweet girl a loving home.
