Bozley - Adopted!
Yardy, as we affectionately named him, came to us due to a very special rescue volunteer named Erin from VA. We owe her a debt of gratitude for Yardy and for two other of our rescue dogs. Yardy was a 'puppy mill' dog, living in a mud lot with two other dogs. All the dogs were outside in the weather with no human contact except for someone that would come to feed them from time to time. When asked the names of the dogs, neither of the two females were even named. Yardy's name was 'Yard-dog'. We enjoyed a stinky ride with all three dogs after meeting Erin and making a switch and Pete did his magic with Yardy so that he was presentable. Off he went to the vet for neutering and the routine shots and heartworm check as well as other exams.
After that we began to work on socializing this fella, who was a real beauty and trying to teach him some simple housebreaking. He was a smart fella and actually did well.
Enter Don and Kathy Herbert. They drove quite a distance to meet another of our rescue dogs but made a decision at the last minute to adopt Yardy. I think Don fell in love the minute he saw him....so, off they went and we've had reports that Bozley (Yardy's new name) is doing very well....housetraining is no issue and
he's acclimating very well to life with the Herberts! More, of course as we have reports!! Thank you Don and Kathy for giving our 'yard-dog' a wonderful home.
