Fiona - Adopted!

Fiona was turned into Tarheel OES Rescue along with her companion dog due to personal reasons and a downturn in the financial climate in NC. She was emaciated, dirty and needing vet care. Pete jumped into the fray, shaved Fiona down, gave her a bath and from there she went on to be vetted, spayed and given a clean bill of health. We set to work helping her gain weight on her pitifully thin frame.

Fiona was always loving to people, although understandably standoffish On occasion. She needed more intense attention than we could give her at the time and Bob and Betty Tumey, longtime friends of TOESR and volunteers, took her on. Reports following their evaluation of Fiona were very good and she settled in with the rest of the family OES's in good fashion.

Fiona, after worming her way into Bob and Betty's heart, became their dog most recently and continues to thrive. Her weight is up and she's now got a sparkle in her eyes to match her spirit! Thanks to Bob and Betty for their outstanding help with Fiona and I know that they'll give her the love and attention she deserves.
