Willard came to us from one of the shelters in the western part of NC. The poor guy was such a love but hadn't been taken care of and was covered in sores underneath all the dirt and mats. Thanks to Tammy, who 'prettied' Willard up and gave him a new name. Being such a laid back, older fella, Willard loved laying in the sun and snuffling around in the leaves.

Disregarding time and distance, Nicole and Tyler, from upstate NY saw Willard's picture and fell in love with him. After taking care of the appropriate checks, Willard was ready to go to his new home. Tyler made the trek down to pick him and I think you can see by the picture that Willard was a 'keeper!'

Thanks to Nicole and Tyler for opening their hearts and home to Willard. We hope to hear more about his transition in the future!
