Barkley has had quite a few rescue folks watching over him! After being brought into one of the local NC shelters, he was pulled and cared for by Operation Care until TOES could take over. We all recognized that Barkley was a special boy. His sweet and caring personality made it a pleasure to foster him ourselves.

Jean and Ed Phelps saw Barkley's picture and immediately decided that he was their dream OES. Jean, having previously owned an OES years earlier had held off in getting another to be fair with having enough time to spend with he/she. Being retired has it's advantages, and in this case, all is good for Barkley! Jean and Ed report that he's settling in well with his new family and will be making trips to NJ and back in the future.
