Dipsy Doodle
Fawkes came to TOESR as the result of a very reluctant owner release involving a variety of reasons. Finding a new home was made more difficult because Fawkes suffers from a neurological condition that doesn't allow normal movement and is deemed a special needs dog. Even with that in mind, there were a couple of dedicated families who pursued him and Fawkes was adopted. After the transition took place however, the severity of Fawkes' medical issues were a bit more complicated than previously thought. Unable to return Fawkes to his prior home and without a lot of options, one very special lady stepped up to volunteer to take Fawkes in and evaluate him. (Keep in mind the medical condition isn't treatable with surgeries or medicines). It didn't take long to determine that Fawkes wasn't adoptable again to a regular family. BUT after a short period of time, with placing Fawkes on a regular daily schedule and with plenty of room for him to run (and fall), this fella stole his foster mom's heart.
I'm beyond happy to report that even with his medical issues, Fawkes, now known as Dipsy Doodle, is living a good life. His routine works for him. He's a smart boy, a joyous dog and shows that to all the new fans that he's made. He's one special dog. There are a lot of folks to thank: Suzanne, John, Erin, the Wallers and Matt but most importantly, Dipsy's new mom, Joanne. She's just as special as the dog she loves and has taken to heart and we can't thank her enough!
