Blu

Blu came to TOESR at the request of a shelter/rescue group where he'd been turned in after his owner passed away and family members weren't able to keep him. Blu was our first OES/Doodle mix so we wanted to make sure to evaluate him thoroughly prior to approving an adoptive family for him. While exhibiting some of the typical Old English Sheepdog traits, he definitely had some other ones that made him unique. We were deluged with applications, but one family just hit the right note and after several discussions, were approved.

Blu went to his new home on July 4th so will always share a 'gotcha' day with our country. Thanks so much to everyone who made this adoption successful and it took a village: from Jenn and her rescue colleagues who started the ball rolling, to TOESR volunteers Tracy, Stephanie and Betty for helping with transport and to Dena for fostering and then transitioning Blu to his new family. Most particularly, thanks to Heather and Chris for opening their hearts and home to Blu.
