Reggie

TOESR was lucky enough to connect with an out of state shelter who had rescued Eddie, along with several of his companion dogs from the owner's backyard where they'd been abandoned after the residence was vacated. Timid and not in the best of shape, Eddie was immediately transported to us, where we immediately had him seen and treated by one of our vets.

After running the gamut of vetting, Eddie began the process of re-acclimating to his new surroundings in his foster home. And, of course, we began the search for the perfect home for this fella. Ray and Peggy had lost their prior TOESR dog recently and saw Eddie on the website. After some discussion, everyone was in agreement that Eddie would be a good fit for their family.

The story doesn't end there. Eddie (who has been renamed Reggie) is coming along with his transition to his new family. We all knew, due to his prior situation, that the settling in period might not be immediate, but reports are good that Eddie/Reggie is making progress.

There are so many people to thank for this rescue: Sarah and her group, Dena, Allie, Leslie and her husband, and of course Ray, Peggy and their family for welcoming Eddie/Reggie into their home.
