Luke and Daisy

TOESR became aware of what originally started out as a single OES needing to be rehomed due to economic reasons. Once we contacted the owner, however, we found out there was actually a pair of sheepdogs: a male and a female. Reluctant to part with the pair but knowing it was in the dogs' best interest, the owner and his family released both to TOESR with the only stipulation that they be placed as a pair.

With some pretty miraculous logistical planning, we were able to pick up the dogs, transport them to their foster family and have them vetted, all within a very short period of time. Luke needed to be neutered and have a tumor addressed.

Now it's not always easy to place rescue dogs and even harder to place pairs of dogs, but we were more than delighted to have several homes that wanted both dogs. So the process began and ultimately a 'perfect' home presented itself. After speaking with Abby who had helped TOESR previously with transporting another rescue dog, it was a no brainer that this family would provide an outstanding home for this pair of supersweet dogs!

Ultimately the transition was made and we've received reports that both dogs are making themselves right at home! Again, there are so many people to thank for this placement: Allie, Marianne, Gwen and Jim but most importantly, Abby and her family, who have taken both dogs to heart! We can't wait to hear more regarding how things are going!
