Zoe

TOESR was contacted regarding the need for rehoming Zoe and three other sheepdogs whose owner had passed away unexpectedly. Through some wonderful assistance locally, all dogs were vetted, groomed and transported to their foster homes. Of the four dogs, Zoe, the mother of the two youngest of the dogs, exhibited some anxiety with what had to be a confusing situation for her. We were lucky enough to be able to have her fostered with one of her 'pack' while we worked on a bit of socialization with other dogs. Then the process began to find the perfect home for Zoe. Knowing that we wanted to honor the memory of her prior owner, the search was intensive. Charmaine and Chris (who'd been waiting for a dog for quite a while) were perfect! Having lost their prior sheepdog, Elmo, they were more than ready to welcome Zoe. Once we saw the reaction of both humans and Zoe at the time of adoption, it was clear that this was a great match. There are so many people to thank: Jessica, Kerry, Bob, Dena, and Bonnie. But we owe a particular thank you to Charmaine and Chris for giving Zoe all the love she needs and deserves. Reports are that she's settled in nicely!
