Sophie came to TOES as a rescue from a kill shelter. When we first found out about her, she was mistaken as an OES mix. What she DID turn out to be was a westie/wheaten mix of some sort.....a pleasure of a dog, Sophie was originally adopted by a great family that unfortunately had to turn her back in for personal reasons. Sophie then spent time with two fosters. Unassuming, neat, loving and sweet, Sophie really could make you love her!

When Thaler McCormick first contacted us about Sophie, the match sounded perfect. Making a road trip to NC, the family visited with Sophie and decided they wanted her to be a part of their family....leaving in the midst of a thunderstorm, we watched Sophie depart for VA with the hopes that this was a good match all around.

After hearing from the family, it sounds like Sophie, now Daisy, quoting Thaler, 'has died and gone to heaven'! They love her and we hope to hear more good things about Daisy.
