Gracie

Gracie has to be the youngest TOESR rescue we've ever handled. As one of a litter of 12 pups whose mother died, Gracie was one of the lucky ones who was purchased at the tender age of 2 weeks by a very kind man with a big heart who bottle fed her until it became too much to handle and then contacted us. We took Gracie in and she began her new journey. On board was the foster home's resident sheepdog who used her natural mothering skills to help transition Gracie. After allowing several weeks for her to acclimate and grow, Gracie was posted as available and within 30 minutes, she had a home! Renee and Les: veteran TOESR dog owners had recently lost their elder sheepdog, Nelson. Gracie seemed preordained to heal the loss. All updates on Gracie's transition will bring a smile to your face. She has bonded with Beau, the resident sheepdog and given him new focus. So many people to thank for this rescue; Allie for her contacts, Beth and her very special Daisy for taking on the mothering workload, and particularly to Renee and Les for opening their hearts to this sweet, very young pup. We will definitely be seeing updates on this youngster!
