Sophie

Sophie came to TOESR as the result of a reluctant owner release and yet another victim of the local economy. When we initially took Sophie for her veterinary visit, she was found to have heartworms. A lengthy treatment followed until she was finally medically cleared for adoption. All the while, Sophie maintained her sweet, laid back nature so it wasn’t hard to find a home who wanted to add her to their family. Susan and David, who had been waiting patiently to adopt another OES after the loss of their own dog, were thrilled to provide just the right home for Sophie. Reports are that Sophie and resident dog sibling Scruffy have bonded and Sophie's future is bright. Thanks to Allie and to Dena for their help with this adoption and to Susan and David for giving Sophie her forever home.
