Sammie came to TOESR when we were notified of a young, male OES having been brought to one of the state shelters as a stray. Luckily for Sammie, he was pulled immediately for transition to a foster home. After spending some time with one of the shelter volunteers, Sammie made his way via a convoy of transporters to his new foster home where he made himself right at home. Sammie was yet to be neutered and extremely malnourished, but with the care given by his foster mom and dad, he was successfully vetted and began to gain weight.

We were contacted by a family that had been waiting for a boy like Sammie and things just seemed to fall into place.

There are quite a few people that we have to thank for Sammie's successful transition to his new home. Thanks to Holly and Sabrenna who took it upon themselves to make sure Sammie was moved from the shelter quickly. Also thanks to all the transporters: Holly, Eddie, Christina, and Allie, to the foster home provided by Jim and Julie, and finally to Lynn and Trevor (and their resident sheepdog, Echo) for giving Sammie the best of chances at a new life. Reports are already coming in and apparently Sammie and Echo are the best of buddies! We definitely want to receive reports about Sammie's progress in the future.
