Chewy
Earl was found as a stray, having taken up residence in a farmer's fields. He
was reported to the authorities by a local farmer who had originally threatened
to shoot him. After a thorough investigation in the area as well as a check
for a microchip by Humane Society staff, we were contacted about this pup
and luckily TOESR was able to help.
The drama didn't end there for Earl, however. After being anesthetized for
his neuter surgery, he had a life-threatening reaction to the drugs administered
and was a very sick boy for a short while. Due to the great care and compassion
from the Society staff, Earl recovered without damage and transitioned to our
TOESR foster home.
Kelly and her family had earlier determined that they were ready for another OES
and they all fell in love with Earl at first sight. Earl came to his new home in
the favorite way for all dogs: a road trip!
Many thanks go out to Ingrid for her excellent fostering care and most importantly
thanks to Kelly, John, Joelle, Rex and of course Dolly for giving Earl the kind of
home he deserves. We've already received great reports on his progress and hope
to hear more in the future. Earl is now known as Chewy!
