Winston
TOESR received a call about a senior Old English Sheepdog that
had been found as a stray and brought into their shelter. Winston wasn't
malnourished and appeared cared-for so we set out to see if we
could find an owner. When that search failed, Winston came to us for
placement. He originally exhibited some extensive hip issues and after
a couple of vet trips for diagnostic tests, he was found to have some severe
infections that needed to be addressed. After rounds of medication, Winston
took on a new lease on life. He does however still have issues with weakened
hips and needed to reside with a family where there was little to no roughousing
with other dogs.
Enter Kelly and her family who took Winston into their home and hearts immediately.
From reports, Winston now spends his days as the greeter at his new mom's
coffee shop, loves to ride back and forth to his 'job' and enjoys being carried
to bed in the evenings by his new family. Throughout all his wanderings, Winston
has always been such a happy boy. Thanks to volunteers, Tammy, Tim, and Susie
for your work with Winston. And thanks to Kelly and her family for giving Winston
such a loving home.
