Bear

TOESR received word that a West Virginia shelter was holding an older OES named Bear. He'd come to them in quite a mess, and the shelter staff worked hard to clean him up. He quickly became a favorite there, and when our WV volunteer picked him up, Bear was actually 'manning' the desk! Three states and several TOESR volunteers later, we were able to meet Bear personally. What a dog! Bear was such a clown, very smart and as laid back as a sheepdog can be.

After transitioning Bear to his new foster home, it was only a matter of time before it became obvious That he'd also worked his magic there. Stories of what a great fit he was in the household, not to mention all the unusual tricks he exhibited on a daily basis, were a giveaway that Bear had found a forever home.

Thanks to Allie, Tammy,Brenda and Betty for all their help. Belinda was lucky enough to foster Bear for a short while, and she loved every minute of it. Most importantly, thanks go to Susie and her family for taking Bear initially and for then falling in love with him and giving him such a wonderful home. We'll expect more stories in the future!
