Bently - Adopted!

Snooker came to the group as an owner turn in. He had been kept outside, was very thin and matted to the point where it was hard to determine just what kind of dog he was. In that condition, it was no surprise that he was diagnosed heatworm positive as well. Snooker made it through the lengthy heartworm treatment and recovery, was neutered and now has an excellent bill of health. He was then adopted to a wonderful woman who loved him dearly but as luck would have it, had a sudden medical crisis that wouldn't allow her to give Snooker the home she felt he deserved.

Dena and Butch had been looking for an OES for quite a while after losing their last one to medical issues. We scheduled some time with the intention of doing our home check and evaluating how everyone got along. It took all of five minutes for Snooker to curl up with Butch on the floor with his head on Butch's chest. From there, he wound up sitting next to Dena on the sofa. After we returned home, it didn't take long to make a decision! The following weekend, Snooker made the return ride to his new home. It was hard to say goodbye to this fella since he'd been with us for a while and had become fast friends with our Odie however we get regular reports, and all are good. We even have plans for some play dates in the future. Thanks to Dena and Butch for taking Snooker into their family and giving him the love and attention he deserves.
