Winston - Adopted!

Winston had one 'fault'. He grew too large. Winston's family saw how big he was getting, and determined he just wasn't the dog for them. This big guy found himself dropped off at a local shelter.

Out volunteer Allie put together luck with her good investigative skills and aided Winston's way into the TOESR group. With help from volunteers John, who fostered and became attached to Winston immediately and to Pat who helped with transporting Winston to Asheville, Winston was introduced to his new family. Adoption hinged of course on how Winston reacted with the resident family sheepie, Gus.

Things went relatively well at this potentially stressful 'meet and greet,' and we're proud to report that not only has the family bonded with Winston but Gus has as well! We're sure we'll be hearing more about the progress with both dogs as time goes by.

This placement was a truly collaborative effort from Allie to John and Pat to finding Kelly, Dale and their daughter Megan to give Winston his perfect home. Thanks to all for helping this LARGE dog!
