Max - Adopted!

When we received a call from the shelter giving us a description of a dog that needed our help but that didn't 'speak English,' we thought someone was being funny. Not so. Max had been born in Mexico, moved with his family to the U.S. and even had his medical records transcribed from Spanish. The little fella also had a 'green card.' AND he literally didn't understand vocal commands in English.

Max's family loved him dearly but after a stay in the States were going to be moving back out of the country. We were lucky enough to have an established foster home ready for Max and made a smooth transition. To make a long story short, Max became Jose and our foster home failed Foster 101!

From regular reports on Jose's progress, this fella is now right at home and is learning English as well. We hope to hear more of Jose and see photos as he continues to progress. Thanks to Joanne for opening her heart and home again to one of our TOESR dogs.
