Olivia - Adopted!
Olivia came to us as an owner turn in with her sidekick, Baxter. The pair had been
together their entire lives and unfortunately weren't in the best of shape. As with
Baxter, Olivia also presented with heartworms but in addition to the
lengthy treatment process, she needed spay surgery as well. She also came
through without incident and started catching peoples' eyes on the website immediately.
A diminutive little girl, Olivia wasn't afraid of anything. She'd prance around
and took over the job of 'guarding' the yard from my resident dog, Smoke! She
was great at calming Baxter down who had a severe reaction to thunderstorms
and fireworks.
After trying for an extended period of time to place the two dogs together, we
was approached by Suzanne and Tom. Tom's dream from an early age was
to have an OES and he was smitten by Olivia! With that in mind, we talked
quite a bit and after doing their home visit, we were sold on the fact that Olivia
would be well cared for in their home. The family also have two daughters
who were just as excited to take Olivia into their home.
Olivia went to her new home the same day Baxter did and ironically, the two dogs aren't 15 minutes apart as the crow flies.
We've gotten updates on Olivia's progress
and she's doing great. In fact, we think she's probably quite spoiled by now,
but that's acceptable. It's more than a slight possibility that the two dogs
will enjoy playtime together from time to time.
Thanks to Suzanne, Tom and their two delightful daughters for giving Olivia
Such a great home and all the love in the world!
