Nelson came to our group in quite an unusual way. A good animal Samaritan came home one evening to find that Nelson had wedged himself through her 'Maltese' dog door and was sitting in her kitchen! What a lucky break for this fella. TOESR was contacted and Nelson began his fostering with Tammy! When vetted, Nelson was found to be heartworm positive in addition to having a severe UTI infection. Once treated and back in good health, Nelson was ready to begin his journey to a new home.

Renee and Les wanted a companion for their OES already in residence - Van Gogh. Nelson seemed to fit the bill and arrangements were made. After a few hiccups with logistics, Nelson made his trip to his forever home and has become a huge part of the family 'like he's always been here!'

Thanks to Renee and Les for giving their love and sharing their home with Nelson. I'm sure we'll be seeing him and hearing about his escapades with Van Gogh as times goes by.
