Earl was just another of quite a few canine 'victims' of the economy here in NC. As an owner turn in, we were contacted by a great shelter in the western part of NC that we'd worked with previously and once again our outstanding volunteers were ready and willing to travel and rescue Earl.

With Earl, it didn't take more than a day to have potential adopters pounding on the doors. After all the necessary conversations, checks and evaluations were completed, Doug made a trip to visit with Earl at his foster home and fell in love. They made their way that evening to what is now Earl's wonderful home in the Raleigh area.

We've had reports that Earl has become very taken with walking on Doug's treadmill! We hope to have a video of that on the website soon.
