Oz - Adopted!

Tarheel OES Rescue was contacted about an OES mix at a high kill shelter in rural VA That needed to be moved quickly. After making the trek to pick Oz up and transport him to his foster home, we determined that Oz was an OES wanna be! He unfortunately was diagnosed with heartworms, so, vetting and treatments were started and Oz began his recovery at Muttley Manor. Extremely intelligent, Oz got along quite well with the other 'big dogs' and as long as he had his much loved giant Kong, was a very happy fella.

Dee and Steve, who had recently lost their prior TOES dog, Morgan, were quick to speak up and want to give Oz a new home. Knowing that Oz wasn't an OES didn't make any difference and with the promise to stay in touch with any questions, Oz moved in with his new family. Being young and being a mix of dogs that seem to need tons of action, Oz quickly put his new owners to the test. With a few growing pains, Oz seems to be doing well.

Thanks to Dee and Steve for giving this fella a chance at a great life!
