Due to personal extenuating circumstances, Ms Gertie needed to find a new home. Kerry had been waiting patiently in the wings for 'just the right dog' and Gertie fit the bill.

Kerry made a major eight hour roundtrip drive one rainy Sunday to meet Gertie and see if they bonded and they did immediately when Gertie went to Kerry and leaned up against her leg, looking up at her with those big sheepdog eyes.

Kerry reports Gertie has made herself right at home and has become a huge snuggle bunny on the bed at night. We hope that both Kerry and Gertie have a wonderful life together. Thanks to Kerry for taking Gertie to heart and giving her love and care. AND we hope to see them both at the 2009 annual picnic.....
