Brophy - Adopted!

It's sad when a dog comes to us without even having a name. This is the case with Black Bart. He was turned in to a high kill shelter in SC and we can thank our SC transport contingency, April and Tammy for their much needed help. After a brief stay with Susan, Bart found his way to Muttley Manor. With Bart's coloration still in the 'black' stages, we opted for calling him Black Bart.

Bart didn't have to wait long for folks to start inquiring about him. Mike was interested in Bart and made a visit to meet him and see how they bonded. Things went great and consequently, after his vetting, I drove Bart to his new home and made his home visit in the same trip.

Mike's two children were on hand for Bart's homecoming and although Bart was a bit nervous, updates are that he's settled in very well and has become Mike's shadow. Black Bart is no more, however. He's now known as 'Brophy' and it fits him well.

Thanks to everyone that helped with this rescue and adoption and particular thanks to Mike and his family for giving Brophy a wonderful home!
