Daisy - Adopted!

Daisy came to our rescue group from a 'friend of a friend' who had to leave the area in search of work and couldn't take her along. The friend's two older dogs weren't happy with Daisy encroaching on their turf so she found her way to us.

With the total dedication and love from volunteer Ellen Gower and her family, Daisy moved in and stayed for quite a while. It appeared no one was interested in a middle-aged dog although Daisy is a sweet and good-natured girl.

On her arrival at Ellen's home, Daisy had a couple of medical issues that, given time, were corrected and she became known as the original 'beach bunny' due to spending quite a bit of time there with the family, going for long walks and losing some weight which she needed to do. All in all, Daisy turned into a real beauty.

We were contacted by Vicki and her son regarding Daisy and went through the normal processes of checks to make sure Daisy would be well taken care of and loved. The day finally came when Daisy met her new home and it was love at first sight. From reports I've received, Daisy is now the official 'greeter' at Vicki's salon and takes her duties of making everyone feel welcome quite seriously.

We hope to hear more of Daisy and how she's getting along as time passes. Thanks so much to Ellen and her family for making such a remarkable difference for this girl and to Vicki who is making sure that Daisy gets the love and attention she deserves!
