Molly - Adopted!
Katie came to us as a result of a closing puppy mill and some wonderful
folks that wanted to help her and chose to call us. This poor little girl was very underweight
at 39 lbs, filthy, with no veterinary care to speak of, and totally unsocialized.
Pete's magic with his shears and a good bath helped and then a trip to the
vet for spay surgery, heartworm testing, shots update and another specialized surgery
to repair an eye issue made Katie much more comfortable. We worked with Katie,
feeding her several times a day to help with progressive and healthy weight gain and helped
her with learning what it meant to be 'housebroken'.
Our efforts paid off. It was obvious that Katie soaked in the love, attention and care
she received from day one and what emerged from the mudpuppy we'd originally rescued,
was the sweetest little dog you'd want to meet.
Kay Bosgraaf saw something in Katie that touched her heart. Having lost their OES
earlier, Kay contacted us about a possible adoption and once the processes were completed,
she and Richard drove down from MD to visit with Kay's children in NC and together they all
convoyed to Muttley Manor to meet and take Katie home. What a great home for our Katie!
Kay has since written that Katie, now Molly, is such a sweetheart but she does have a bit
of the imp in her, with her counter surfing techniques improving! We hope to hear more of the
escapades of Ms Molly and to announce her move to NC in the near future!
Thanks to Kay and to Richard for giving Molly such a wonderful home.
