Gilbert was originally an owner turn-in due to financial issues. He was fostered at Muttley Manor in Winston-Salem, NC, & underwent surgery for a tumor as well to make sure his health wouldn't be an issue to a new owner.

Enter.....Cindy & Fred Bellis from Cookeville, TN. Cindy & I had many talks regarding Gilbert & eventually it was determined that I'd drive him to his new home...Gilbert & I arrived at the Bellis home & was greeted by Cindy along with her others dogs which include another OES, Bartholomew.

Since moving into his new home, Gilbert has taken numerous camping trips & actually has become quite a boater, getting his 'sea legs'!
